Welcome everyone to another Technique Squad Blog Hop! I am so glad you took the time to stop by. The technique this month is Faux Suede. It is a super simple technique that has big results! I am so excited to be hopping with this group of talented stampers again!!
I used the ALL NEW Etched In Nature stamp set. I got this set before the catalog came out for attending On Tour (one of several demonstrator only events I am able to attend for being a demonstrator)! I think it is an absolutely beautiful stamp set.
I used Evening Evergreen, Crumb Cake, and Basic White as my color combo. It is a little difficult to see in the picture, but my Evergreen paper has a soft, fuzzy look to it that resembles suede. I kept my card simple and finished it off with a cute little bow.
Like I said, this is a super simple technique. All you do is take your cardstock and curl it in all different directions using your bone folder. You’ll do this over and over until the paper starts to separate. Peel the paper apart, it should come apart easily. Now you have your Faux Suede piece!
